Role and responsibilitiesThe purposeof the Support Team Leader is to manage the support functionsat the NRC Shahat Office and to ensure efficient and smooth administrative processes, office management and effective delivery of high-level support services and offload the Area Support Coordinator on Shahat support functions.
Generic responsibilities
Supervision of Finance,HR & Admin and Logistics and Service staff Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and handbooksand donor/auditor requirements Responsible for ensuringquality support to project implementation. Participate in Area SupportBudget, area level budgets, includingsupport costs. Responsible for Implementation of new countryspecific technical SOPs, guidelines, and tools in Area (HR, Logistic/ICT and Finance) Responsible for capacitybuilding of supportstaff (HR, Logisticand Finance) Promote the rightsof IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacystrategy. Actively promote PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.Specific responsibilities
Accountable for the line management and day-to-dayoperations of HR, Admin, Financeand Logistics units at Shahat Office, managing the day-to-day support tasks. Provide input to East Area Office for improvements/updates to existing policiesand procedures, and recommendations for new guidelines and SOPs. Support HR to ensure area staff have accessto the NRC People systemand Kaya platformfor mandatory training. Provide operational support to project implementation and oversee the supply chain to ensure projectmaterials and goodsare procured and supplied in a timely manner, following up daily and processing procurements when needed. Participate in committees as required. Support to programme and finance teams to preparefor audits. Ensure that monthly reportsfrom support departments are of the required quality and submitted in a timely manner. Ensure that all NRC Shahat premises are equippedand secured according to NRCs policies and standards. Review lease agreement for NRC Shahat premises, prepare and follow up on the schedule of payments and terminations/renewals as needed and ensure proper tracking. Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment for all Area Office staff,including through effective staff feedback mechanisms. Represent NRC in relevantmeetings and forums in Shahatwhen required. Ensure regular communication is maintained between the different departments and act as a mediator when necessary. Accountable for maintenance of Shahat office, equipment, and supplies Accountable on maintaining the filing system for all administrative documents in NRC’s Filing Tree and in line with SSD Accountable for tracking all Darna/Shahat payments related to the office and processing in a timely manner. Schedule weekly Support Meetings with all Shahat Support staff, prepare periodic progress reports highlighting relevantoperational issues, and provide solutions. Provide inputsto the area support strategy. Ensure all fleet (vehicles) records are reported properly personally or by the LOG team at the base, and ensure monthly reports are submitted to country and area offices. Immediately report all breaches of safety and security procedures and all threats to NRC staff, beneficiaries, activities or assets. Any other tasks as required by the line manager.
