Context
Under the overall supervision of the Senior ICT Officer (Project and Product Management) and direct supervision of the Chief, ICT MIMOSA Systems & Migrant Solutions and, in close coordination with the Migration Management Operational Software Application (MiMOSA) Business Process Owners (BPOs), the ICT Officer (Business Analysis) will be responsible for the alignment of the relevant Migration Data Management Systems and the Business Processes in coordination with the subject matter experts for various programmes working in close collaboration with Business Analyst team. The ICT Officer (Business Analysis) will be responsible for the coordination of the overall reporting requirements with the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) reports team. The ICT Officer (Business Analysis) will also be responsible for defining the standard look-up values for various Movement systems as well as the accuracy of the data collected.
Compile business functional requirements from relevant the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Departments, user community and subject matter experts (SMEs) by reviewing users’ feedback and issues, attending meetings, workshop, etc. Perform preliminary analysis of business functional requirements and recommend new functionality and/or improvements to existing functionality to meet business requirements and system configuration. Participate in the design/redesign of solutions for business functional requirements in close consultation with relevant technical and development teams.Review the quality of data recorded in the Movement systems and define the various status throughout the data collection process to maintain data integrity.Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and various stakeholders in understanding business and proposing streamlined workflows during requirements analysis ensuring scalability and business continuity of database solutions.Coordinate the reporting needs for all Air Movement Assistance provided; provide guidance on the standard reporting criteria. Work closely with the Database administrators to define the data requirements for Movement reporting to ensure accurate reporting.Draft ad-hoc statistical reports for the Country Offices (CO) and or other Headquarters (HQ) Departments; Support the development and maintenance of statistical reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI reporting tools.Guide and train the users on how to generate reports using the reporting platforms and use of various dashboards and visualization tools. Consolidate the data for non-Air Movements that should be incorporated in the overall organization reporting.Constantly review and ensure the look-up lists for various systems are updated; in accordance with the relevant governing bodies such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).Define the paraments for current Programmes and shape the Historical data to match these programmes for ease of manipulation and use in narrative reports; Categories the data by project types in line with current IOM structures.Assist the ICT Database Manager and the Reporting technical lead to define the criteria for Compiling Movement data collected across multiple platforms. Provide Guidance for the compilation of the Movement Management databases, including historical Migrant Movements data.Draft end-to-end business scenarios for testing, approval and implementation, conduct unit and system testing and compile test results, and submit for formal sign-off from corresponding business units on the production-ready solution.As a team member, participate in the preparation and implementation of new system releases and in Change Management activities to be used to deploy enhancements and/or modifications to the system. Draft portions of, and update, change management documents.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.Education
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Statistics, Information Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; orUniversity degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience;Business analysis certification (e.g. CBAP) is preferred;Professional certification in PMP or PRINCE 2 methodologies is an advantage; andProfessional certification in ITIL and agile methodologies is an advantage.Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders;Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation or business requirements summaries;Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Jira;Advanced knowledge, experience and understanding of computerized information systems; and,Experience in using, supporting or testing MiMOSA Case management system is an added advantage.Skills

IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
