Work LocationNew York Expected duration9 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position is located in the United Nations Office for Partnerships. Guided by the priorities of the UN Secretary-General, UN Partnerships is the gateway to the UN system to connect and co-create partnerships to deliver solutions to reach everyone, everywhere. In its role as a connector, UN Partnerships proactively engages, convenes and leverages stakeholders, initiatives and solutions in support of the Decade of Action to keep the promise of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). UN Partnerships oversees the SDG Advocates programme, the UN Fund for International Partnerships (UNFIP), the UN Democracy Fund (UNDEF), and the SDG Strategy Hub. The incumbent will support all initiatives of the UN Partnerships and report to the Chief of Service for Outreach and Advocacy and work closely with other members of the team. Responsibilities: The incumbent will predominantly support initiatives of the UN Office for Partnerships and report to the Chief of Service and work closely with other members of the UNOP team. • Develop the overall event concept, including implementation planning and development of branded video packages. • Participate in planning meetings to define objectives, audience, and technical requirements of individual programmes • Help develop concept notes, scripts, run-of-show documents, and storyboards • Edit graphics, video packages, and branding assets for broadcast use • Assist with technical setup (camera, audio, lighting) and rehearsals. • Direct and operate cameras for live sessions and ensure broadcast quality productions. • Edit recordings for on-demand distribution. • Configuring and recording multi-channel content through Blackmagic Hyperdecks. • Archiving and organizing recorded content onto external drives. • Operating Panasonic UE-150 PTZ Cameras (4k 30) for live and pre-recorded productions. • Camera switching on Blackmagic ATEM 2 M/E Constellation Production Switcher for cutting live and pre-recorded productions. • Edited the entire film, with multiple rounds of notes. • Work with director to create a sizzle reel of the film • Re-connected final sound mix and final color to picture lock for final export. • Editor for all episodes and sketches using Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects. building and growing social media following • Provide technical specifications for implementation and liaise with AV teams, and vendors. • Participate in regular planning meetings, giving presentations to internal stakeholders and providing creative rationale for design choices. • Collaborate with content teams to interpret themes in the events • Collaborate with other offices of the UN to facilitate and broadcast events • Integrate motion graphics, projection mapping, or interactive installations • Deliver a comprehensive final event package • Prepare a post-project presentation summarizing design outcomes, challenges, innovations, and lessons learned. • Perform other duties as required. Qualifications/special skillsA first-level degree from a university or an institution of equivalent status. A minimum of two years of experience in editing or related field is required. Experience in creating videos and graphics for outreach materials is required. Experience in production of high-level events and special projects is required LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage Additional InformationNot available.
