Work LocationRemotely Expected duration1 August 2025 to 15 November 2025 Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnited Nations ESCAP has been providing technical assistance and capacity-building support to its member state Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) to support their national and regional investment attraction and promotion work in sustainable development sectors. This project ASEAN Green Investment Catalyst (AGIC) will focus on supporting the implementation of the ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan (RIPAP), by boosting institutional capacity and project offerings of investment promotion agencies regionally and nationally to attract investment in green transition sectors. The event is part of the ASEAN Green Investment Catalyst (AGIC) programme, which supports implementation of the ASEAN Regional Investment Promotion Action Plan (RIPAP) by boosting the institutional capacity and project offerings of IPAs at both regional and national levels. This TOR is for a contractor to lead investor and sponsor outreach, coordinate planning with the Event Organizer, MITI, MIDA and the venue, and oversee seamless execution of the ASEAN Investment Forum. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer, Innovation, Enterprise and Investment Section of the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, the responsibilities are: • Investor outreach: Identify and engage up to 40 relevant green-sector investors, maintain outreach records, and secure their participation in the ASEAN Investment Forum. • Sponsor mobilisation: Develop sponsorship packages, approach corporate and institutional partners, and secure financial or in-kind commitments. • Planning and coordination: Prepare and manage the Forum’s detailed workplan, budget, and manage risks, coordinating closely with the Event Organizer (EO), MITI/MIDA, and the venue on programme design and logistics. • Pre-planning mission: Undertake an in-country mission to Malaysia (or virtual equivalent) to finalise logistical arrangements, assess the venue, and onboard local suppliers. • On-site event management and reporting: Provide hands-on supervision during the Forum, overseeing registration, speaker and sponsor management, and troubleshooting, and submit a concise post-event report summarising outcomes and lessons learned. Qualifications/special skills- University degree in economics, administration, business, international development or related field - Minimum 10 years of experience in event management, or investment-related stakeholder engagement, preferably in an ASEAN context. - Please indicate whether you have worked with the United Nations and provide the daily rate and hourly rate you expect to charge. - Experience in managing high-level regional or international events, including coordination with government counterparts, logistics providers, and event organizers. - Demonstrated experience in investor and sponsor outreach, including preparing investor/sponsor lists and securing participation or financial/in-kind commitments.
