Drive the design, development, refinement and implementation of procedures/processes/technical solutions/standards/methods and guidelines relevant to EAD, ensuring alignment with overall organisational’ s strategies and regulatory requirements. Lead the activities of the EAD service and contribute to the development of the service evolution’s strategy. Lead the operational development of the systems, assess changes and potential risks and ensure expertise for all cross-domain evolutions. Act as the main coordination point for operational service evolution and ensure support to iNM product management team in the definition of service requirements in accordance with relevant roadmaps. Monitor and analyse the progress of implementation of EAD and associated operational developments and trends, and advise senior management on emerging needs and opportunities, and formulate strategic recommendations. Ensure the creation and maintenance of comprehensive operational documentation/procedures, performance guidelines and targets, reports, etc Lead and coordinate the development of the content of training related activities and deliver courses as needed. Provide guidance and mentorship to teams and/or colleagues as required, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Foster collaboration with key internal and external partners, and act as operational liaison in EAD’s expertise. Represent the service at high level events, consultations, groups, etc. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

University degree in a relevant domain of 4 years or of 3 years plus 1 year of relevant professional experience. Or professional training of an equivalent level. Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. In addition, minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience. Certification or training in AIS/AIM (Aeronautical Information Services/Management) or EAD operations is highly desirable. Proficiency in operational aviation data. Experience in the aviation and/or air traffic management (ATM) domain. Experience and knowledge of the European AIS Database (EAD) and associated tools. Knowledge with ICAO Annex 15 and other international aeronautical data standards. Technical writing skills (English). Stakeholder engagement skills. Leading: you provide direction in line with strategic organisational goals. Influencing: you tailor your style and approach to influence others. Communication: you adapt your communication to different situations and audiences. Managing change: you support the change process. Strategic focus: you know how to align action with strategy. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. The selected candidate will be required to become basic users at level A1/A2 of French before the end of the probation period.
