This is an exciting opportunity to provide administrative support to NRC’s Global Roving & Surge Unit, to ensure the high quality and timely deployment of human resources capacities to NRC country programmes. Additionally, the role will provide support to the wider Emergency Response Section, with a particular focus on coordinating induction and onboarding, event/meeting planning and information management.

NRC is seeking a motivated “Emergency Deployment & Administration Coordinator” with high level of administration skills and information management experience. The ideal candidate must be highly organised, have strong attention to detail and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines. We’re looking for a team player with a “can-do” attitude who is willing to take on a broad range of tasks.
What you will do:
Some of your specific responsibilities include:
Organize online and face-to-face induction sessions for new ERS staff, including ensuring logistical arrangements when inductions are held in Oslo (for example, accommodation, flights, agenda, booking meeting rooms, etc.). Coordinate the issue, replacement, and collection of ICT equipment of ERS staff, in conjunction with ICT. Support Start-Up missions with tasks such as visa processing, documentation, CO registration, etc. Keep track of ERS Learning & Development activities including maintenance of the L&D Tracker, dissemination of information on upcoming courses/seminars Support Surge Roster management and deployments, and provide back-up to the Emergency Deployment Specialist, as needed. Maintain and update Global Roving and ERT staff list. Support Emergency HR projects and initiatives. Support the section with the design and update of SharePoint pages/sites. What you will bring:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar or related role. High level of administration skills and information management experience. Excellent ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and databases. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and systems oriented. Team player with a can-do attitude, willing to take on a variety of tasks. Proactive, solution oriented and creative problem-solving skills. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. Good understanding of, or interest in international humanitarian work. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.What we offer:
