Global Corporate Solutions and Corporate Real Estate
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Administration Officer (MDCAO), Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) brings together the functions of Corporate Security, Corporate Real Estate, and Corporate Services (such as food services, printing, travel, conferences, and translation and interpretation).
GCS’s Corporate Real Estate (GCSCR) division plays a crucial role in supporting IBRD, IDA, MIGA, and ICSID by developing and operating their real estate demands worldwide. GCSCR’s primary purpose is to create safe, cost effective, sustainable, and functional real estate solutions, enabling business units to perform their work program in line with the WBG’s mission to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet.
To achieve its purpose, GCSCR led by the Senior Manager, is structured into three divisions: (i) HQ Real Estate Development and Management (GCSHQ), which covers facilities based in Washington, DC, (ii) International Real Estate (GCSIR), responsible for facilities located overseas, and (iii) Corporate Real Estate Strategy & Planning (GCSSP), providing cross-cutting strategic planning and analysis and business support.
GCSCR is comprised of approximately 80 staff, leverages over 500 contractors, and manages an annual facilities capital investment plan of about $100 million globally. GCSCR works closely with the Regions on the Bank’s more than 175 country offices and manages several of the Bank’s country offices.
Job Description
The ET Consultant, Space Data Management Analyst, will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate corporate floor plans and space data, ensuring compliance with ANSI/BOMA standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in space management, data analysis, and a keen eye for detail. The position is based Washington, DC and will report to the Senior Program Manager, Space Management.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain and update corporate real estate space data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ANSI/BOMA standards.
• Manage and maintain digital floor plans, tracking space utilization and occupancy.
• Assign and maintain room numbering conventions across all facilities to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Analyze space data to provide insights and recommendations for efficient space utilization.
• Work closely with real estate, facilities, and workplace strategy teams to support space planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in space data reporting.
• Utilize space management software (e.g., FMSystems, AutoCAD, or similar tools) to manage and visualize floor plans.
• Support the development of reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate space data insights.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies for space measurement and allocation.
• Assist in scenario planning for moves, adds, and changes (MAC) to optimize workspace efficiency.
• Provide training and guidance on space management best practices to internal teams.
• Conduct space audits to verify data accuracy and ensure proper space allocation.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for space data governance.
• Coordinate with IT and software vendors to enhance space management tools and systems.
• Support lease administration teams by providing space-related data for portfolio planning.
• Assist in benchmarking and trend analysis to compare company space usage with industry standards.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to improve workplace strategies and enhance employee experience.
• Document processes and create user guides for space management tools and procedures.
• Commitment to support reporting on work they are involved with to ensure the flow and sharing of information among team members and stakeholders.
Selection Criteria
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred. Advanced degrees or certifications in related fields are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate real estate, space data management, or a related role. Experience in managing large-scale corporate real estate portfolios or facilities is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of ANSI/BOMA standards for space measurement, including the ability to apply these standards in practical scenarios.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management Systems), or other space management software. Familiarity with additional software tools used in space planning and management is advantageous.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau. Ability to create detailed and insightful reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Experience in conducting space utilization studies and developing optimization strategies.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, including the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors. Ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to senior management.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining accuracy and consistency in all aspects of work.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and principles in real estate and facilities management is a plus.
