The Driver is responsible for transporting NRC staff, visitors, documents and goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approved within an area, country or other location. 

Generic Responsibilities:

Transport NRC staff, visitors, documents and goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approvedEnsure the safety and security of the passengers, the goods and the vehicleMaintain the vehicle in proper operating condition at all times, including keeping the vehicle clean, ensuring enough fuel, checking the technical state etc.Ensure the assigned vehicle has all the necessary documents and equipmentProvide logistical support during trainings and workshops

Specific Responsibilities:

Perform safe and secure transportation of NRC personnel and deliveries throughout the West Bank Observe the route, road, location, destination and security situation in each journey and report back to the Security Focal Point in case of any incident. Perform carrying out loading/unloading duties as required.  Report immediately any accident following NRC procedures applicable in such situation Abide by traffic laws and other laws applicable to the routes at all times 

Generic professional competencies for this position:

Valid driver’s licenseExperience from working as a Driver in a humanitarian/recovery contextSome knowledge of English

Context related skills, knowledge and experience:

Knowledge of West Bank roads and check points Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential Ability to work in a flexible working schedule subject to work needs.
