This position will report to the project administrator, who will assign the day-to-day activities of the drivers.

Responsibilities:

Drive official vehicles safely and courteously on local and international routes as required, always using defensive driving techniques. Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely oil changes, check of tires, brakes, and water levels, car washing, etc., so that the vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition at all times. Ensure availability of all the required vehicle documents/supplies, including vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, vehicle logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle. Accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs and provision of inputs to prepare the vehicle maintenance plans and reports. Keeps abreast of traffic, road and security and safety awareness. Ensure all vehicles are in good condition each time they return from the field and report/verify those that need repairs. Act as field assistant during travel on field assignments. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

O\u2019 level certificate with minimum of three (3) years working experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record, and with vast knowledge of driving in Liberian rural towns. Valid Driver\u2019s license is required.
