POSITION TITLE: Director, Counter Trafficking-in-Persons LOCATION: Dhaka, Bangladesh DEPARTMENT: Human Rights, Education, and Empowerment BACKGROUND: Winrock International is a non-profit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources. Winrock strengthens the capacities of women, men, children, youth, and civil society organizations to actively participate in local and national development and transform their societies. Winrock International is seeking a Counter Trafficking-in-Persons Director for projects in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The position would be in a leadership role, providing technical direction, and liaising with donor and government counterparts. This is a local/national position and is not eligible for international allowances or relocation allowances. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s degree in international development, capacity development, education, social sciences, or related development field. Masters level degree or higher preferred. Work Experience: Minimum of ten years of technical experience in counter-trafficking in senior leadership positions Prior experience with international donor operating procedures, regulations, and reporting requirements Experience leading complex international development programs Experience managing multi-cultural, diverse teams Demonstrated experience in coordinating and cooperating with a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, private sector businesses, and non-governmental organizations Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity Knowledge of the political, social, cultural, environmental, and development context of Bangladesh strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective working relations and coalition building among host country government personnel, stakeholders, NGO partners, and international donor agencies Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills in English Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workflow Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Microsoft) Fluency in English is required.
