As a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Engineering Department, you will supervise the transport and handling aspects of the High Intensity ECN3 (HI-ECN3) project. You will be in charge of the:
3D modelling in Catia the environment and the handling operationsDefinition and the design of handling toolingFollow up of the suppliers during the manufacturing phaseFollow up of the project: planning, resources, implementation of the proposed tooling and methods with the handling teamsYour profile
Skills and/or knowledge
Proficient knowledge of a 3D drafting software (Catia, SolidWorks, Inventor etc.)Ability to prepare mechanical calculation notes to be submitted to safety actorsProficient in mechanical calculations with AnsysFluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) by the application deadline.Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Applicants without University degree are not eligible.Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.This vacancy is archived.
