PROJECT BACKGROUND:
EpiC is a multi-year global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The project provides strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case-finding, prevention, treatment programming and viral load (VL) suppression among key populations (KPs). In the Philippines, EpiC is into its fourth year of implementation. In Greater Metro Manila, EpiC is supporting 52 sites to address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among KPs and strengthen capacity of local, community based KP organizations, and work closely with the government of the Philippines to deliver HIV services tailored to the needs of KPs. In addition to these activities, EpiC Philippines will focus on expanding HIV case-finding in the community, PrEP and treatment initiation, adherence, and retention support for people living with HIV (PLHIV) to reach undetectable equals untransmittable (U=U) status.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Coordinator for Community Mobilization and Outreach will be responsible in supporting the CBO partner in organizing activities related to CBS, PrEP and offering HIV information in the community and workplaces among others. The post requires meticulously management of mobilization teams, ensuring that they are appropriately staffed according to the requirements of partner organizations/ venues where HIV services will be provided. Additionally, it entails ensuring that mobilization days at headquarters are adequately manned to guarantee the efficient delivery of services. Implementing and maintaining proper CBS, PrEP, and HIV-ST processes is paramount, encompassing tasks such as disposal procedures and the organization of supplies to streamline operations. Effective coordination with logistics associates is essential, particularly regarding inventory management for PrEP and HIV-ST supplies. Furthermore, diligent monitoring of CBS supplies inventory is necessary to prevent shortages and ensure uninterrupted service provision. Lastly, the role involves coordinating all matters related to MOBs, fostering smooth communication and collaboration among team members to uphold the standards of community-based healthcare services. Overall, the position requires a meticulous approach, strong organizational skills, and effective coordination abilities to optimize the delivery of CBS, PrEP, and HIV-ST services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and ensure that mobilization activities appropriately staffed including the needed logistics according to the needs of the partners.
Maintain adherence to proper conduct of CBS, PrEP and HIV-ST processes, including but not limited to disposal and supplies.
Communicate with logistics associate on PrEP and HIV-ST inventories on regular basis.
Provide regular implementation updates to partner CBO and EpiC country team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Possess strong attention to detail, a commitment to work quality and integrity, and the ability to work effectively within established confidentiality protocols.
Can work with required timeline.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work with others effectively.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences and organizations.
Good writing and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino.
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office software programs
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
At least Senior High School graduate, college undergraduate, vocational course, or any equivalent.
High level of familiarity on community-based PrEP initiation and CBS
At least six (6) months of experience in HIV work especially in conducting Community Based Screening for HIV and providing HIV information.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Must be able to work well with others in and out of the organization.
