About this position
We are looking for a results- and team-oriented Data and Analytics Senior Associate to join our Workforce Intelligence Team (WIT) in the Human Resources Department (HRD). The WIT is responsible for designing, leading, and executing the end-to-end analyses in areas related to Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Learning and Development and Compensation and Benefits. You will oversee all matters of data quality management and analysis of the IDB’s personnel data and support the implementation of digital solutions. Your primary focus will be applying data mining techniques, doing analyses, and building high-quality reports and presentations aligned with HRD’s strategic functions. You will be supporting data governance and data quality processes to facilitate the development and implementation of data quality best practices and data protection standards in HRD. You will also ensure adherence to data policies, procedures, and guidelines to achieve the required level of quality and protection of critical data and information handled by HRD.
What you’ll do:
Provide input and feedback on the data governance framework and existing practices, recommending improvements. Perform the role of data steward, representing the Department in meetings, presentations and committees. Ensure, within the HR data governance function, that data collected is properly defined, organized and with quality, to be used and analyzed. Run metadata and processes to ensure proper use of data being read, created, collected, reported, updated, or deleted. Lead HR systems analyses for efficiency, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data. Facilitate data mapping and organizational change when upgrading HR systems. Contribute to the use and development of new HR tools and technologies, analyzing pros and cons. Provide input into the implementation of the Bank’s personal privacy standards of HR data. Supply analysis to advance process improvements on projects and initiatives, contribute to the use and development of the new HR tools and technologies and recommend best practices. Lead the implementation of data quality checkpoints and internal audit processes. Lead analyses of data and perform root cause analyses, identifying and documenting patterns of errors, and providing recommendations for corrections. Understand all aspects of data processing, preparation, analysis, and presentation of information in an easy-to-understand format. Attend to the HR team on an ongoing basis for ad-hoc products, and external data requests. Monitor and analyze systems for continuous improvement. Provide recommendations to put in place appropriate people, processes, and tools and coach team members as needed to optimize efficiency. Conduct analyses and apply visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView) to create reports and robust dashboards for real-time analytics for HRD’s leadership team and business partners. Use data analysis to share compelling insights and stories through narrative and graphic representation. Communicate results clearly and persuasively.What you'll need
Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in computer science, Data Science, Business Administration, Economics, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, preferably in HR analytics. Familiarity with SAP HCM, SQL Server, Success Factors, Tableau, Power BI or QlikView a plus. Languages: Fluency in English required; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese and/or French is a plus.Key skills
