The Corporate Information & Technology (CIT) department provides business technology solutions that support IFC’s strategic priorities and operational excellence. Within CIT, the Core Operations (CITOP) unit plays a pivotal role in delivering and maintaining digital platforms that enable IFC’s frontline operations, including investment, advisory, and corporate services.
CITOP is undergoing a significant transformation aligned with the ITS Agile framework and SAFE 6.0 scaled delivery model. This transformation emphasizes agility, product-centric delivery, and continuous improvement. The unit supports a diverse application landscape comprising in-house developed systems and customized Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions. These systems span across domains such as investment operations, advisory services, environmental and social risk management, development impact measurement, and client engagement.
As part of this modernization journey, CITOP is expanding its Salesforce platform capabilities to streamline business processes, enhance user experience, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture. The Salesforce ecosystem—including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Financial Services Cloud (FSC), and custom applications—will become a cornerstone of IFC’s digital strategy.
The CRM Technical Product Owner (Salesforce) will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of this platform. This includes leading architectural design, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and enabling cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reusable, and future-ready solutions. The role also supports CITOP’s broader goals of innovation, operational efficiency, and client-centric delivery.Objectives The CRM Technical Product Owner (Salesforce) will lead the design and implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions across multiple business domains. This role will ensure technical quality of Salesforce solutions, promoting best practices, and supporting the successful delivery of technical requirements throughout the Salesforce delivery lifecycle.. The incumbent will work closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs and contribute to the ongoing improvement and innovation of the Salesforce based solutions.
Duties and Accountabilities • Develop robust Salesforce applications across Sales, Service, Experience, and Financial Services Cloud (FSC), including data models, security frameworks, and integration solutions.• Lead complex Salesforce implementations and integrations with enterprise systems using APIs, middleware (e.g., ESB, Azure API Management), and other technologies.• Define and promote Salesforce development standards while ensuring alignment with organizational policies, data management practices, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.• Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Salesforce applications.• Ensure adherence to security protocols and regulatory requirements across all Salesforce environments.• Collaborate with developers and administrators by offering technical guidance and sharing knowledge, encouraging skill development and continuous improvement within the team. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, workflows, and user guides.
Selection Criteria
Required: • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • At least 7 years of IT experience, including 5+ years of Salesforce experience working in the Financial Services industry.• Deep expertise in Salesforce architecture and development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL), and declarative tools.• Strong understanding of integration patterns, data modeling, data migration, and security practices.• Proven ability to deliver enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions and resolve complex technical issues.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with strong business acumen.• Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as ESB, Azure API Management, or similar.• Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality solutions within tight deadlines.
Preferred: • Salesforce Certified System Architect• Salesforce Certified Application Architect• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II• Salesforce Certified App Builder• Familiarity with GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Azure DevOps• Familiarity with Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, and other security-enhancing features.
