About this position

We are looking for a motivated professional to work in our Corporate Procurement (PRC) Group as part of the Budget and Corporate Procurement Division. Reporting to the PRC Group Head, the primary role of the Corporate Procurement Associate is to conduct the procurement and contracting process for a wide range of services and goods.

You will work in the Corporate Procurement Group (PRC) which is part of Budget and Corporate Procurement Division (BDA/BGT) which provides information on performance and budgetary resource management and oversees all corporate procurement activities of the Bank. Specifically, the PRC Group provides procurement services for all Bank Departments both in Headquarters and Country Offices, including RFP development, evaluation, contract drafting/development, and negotiation.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with units on the full range of procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle.
  • Review units’ requests to determine the procurement approach to obtain the best value and minimize risk. Work with end-users to review specifications and develop Request for Proposals (RFP). Conduct all activities associated with the RFP process: coordinate project team, prepare plans, schedules, request for information, advertising notifications, evaluation, award, and contract negotiation.
  • Establish and maintain procurement plan and schedule for ongoing contracts and newly planned procurements. Exercise day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of procurement for the given areas of activity as a business partner.
  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of market developments, research and analyze statistical data and market reports for suppliers.
  • Transform available data into relevant knowledge to improve the quality of fiduciary advisory to clients.

    What you'll need

    • Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, Law, Project Management, or other relevant fields. C.P.M. and/or C.P.S.M is a plus.
    • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the field of procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, or related areas. Candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in end-to-end procurement processes and in developing supplier relationship programs, as well as knowledge of decision support tools and analytics and the ability to create and negotiate legally binding commercial contracts. Procurement and contracting experience in both US and Latin America desired. Experience with SAP and/or Ariba is a plus.
    • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
