Corporate Services Associate – Corporate Security

About this position
We are looking for an innovative, client-focused, and collaborative Corporate Services Associate with experience in corporate security in International Organizations or Multinational Companies. You will be part of the Corporate Security Team, responsible for the physical security of all IDB Group personnel, assets, and properties in Washington, D.C., 27 offices in Latin America and the Caribbean, and three offices in Europe and Asia. In addition, Corporate Security manages organizational resilience, which includes business continuity and crisis management.
The Corporate Security Team is part of the Budget and Administrative Services Department, which is responsible for providing senior management and the Board of Directors information on performance and resource allocation to inform and enhance decision-making. The Department is also responsible for the administration of a wide array of corporate services, including real estate administration, security, records management, travel, and the Corporate Sustainability Program.
What you’ll do
· Monitor the work of contractors and vendors to ensure the effective execution of Corporate Security services. To this end, you’ll assess methods, procedures, and technologies to improve protection of the IDB Group's personnel and assets.
· Develop project plans, conduct analyses, and explore opportunities to enhance procedures and technologies, achieve cost savings, gain efficiencies, and optimize resource allocation.
· Leverage benchmark data and analytics, industry trends, and enterprise security risk management practices to create metrics, scenarios, risks, and process workflows for continuous improvement.
· Support with coordinating and performing drills, tabletop exercises, and training sessions. Develop and assist in providing comprehensive outreach and communications on security-related matters.
· Contribute to implementing the Organizational Resilience Management Framework to conduct Business Impact Analyses, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management Plan updates.
· Maintain regulations and procedures and respond to client inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and systems.
· Pursue client feedback to deepen understanding of risks and needs to implement sound mitigating measures. Leverage security systems and platforms and work with external vendors to enhance corporate security services.
What you'll need
Education: Master’s degree in security management, criminology, risk management, or other fields relevant to the role’s responsibilities.
Experience: At least two years of experience in Corporate Security or similar fields in International Organizations or multinational companies. Knowledge of Business Continuity repository systems and integrated physical security platforms is a plus.
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements
Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
