Project Context and Scope
  Under the direct supervision of the Communications coordinator, the candidate is expected to support communications activities, including researching, creating and producing content related to IOM Brazil’s activities for the Organization’s social media accounts. The consultant will contribute to the implementation of creative communication strategies, marketing activities and robustly position the organization as the leader in protecting and assisting migrants.

  1. Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, ensuring alignment with the organization objectives.
  2. Driving strategic marketing campaigns and optimizing digital experiences to enhance engagement (direct and through partners), brand visibility, and organization growth
  3. Identify key influencers to boost brand awareness and engagement.
  4. Monitor relevant discussions of migration related issues on social media.
  5. Provide data driven recommendations to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  6. Provide support with IOM Brazil’s communications strategy.
  7. Provide overall support with research and fact-checking to produce communication material.
  8. Capture images in photo and video.
  9. Support operational processes related to communications.
  10. Stay abreast of new design and social media trends and delivers create and innovative ideas.
  11. Perform any other duties as may be needed.           Education
  12. University degree  in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related areas by an accredited university. Experience
  13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prepare clear and concise products.
Expertise in campaign execution, digital marketing, and data-driven decision-making to create seamless and impactful digital interactions across multiple platforms Be an active social media user and stay up to date with the latest trends in online content. Knowledge in the field of migration is an advantage. Knowledge of graphic design is an advantage.   Languages Required: English (working knowledge) and Portuguese. Advantageous: Spanish IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
