One or more of the following:
- Establish/upgrade the digitalisation of administrative activities of all university units.
- Improve the existing university student service systems (for all study cycles).
- Improve the position and ranking of a university (Academic ranking of world universities), published by well-known organisations/research centres.
- Increase a university's attractiveness for studying by international students (for all study cycles).
- Establish scientific diplomacy to promote scientific achievements and university scholars and create liaisons for scientific and academic collaborations, with a presumption of increased access to research resources outside the country.
- Increase the visibility of the scientific research results of the university units in the country and their application in the creation of policies in certain areas.
- Lecture short-term modules as a visiting professor.
- Improve the quality of the educational process.
- Develop new curricula.
- Transfer technology in certain scientific fields.
- Advancing and exchanging knowledge from certain scientific fields.
- Share experiences and best practices (protocols) in different forms in certain scientific fields.
- Prepare proposals for joint projects for application to funds outside the country.
- Conduct joint work on scientific research and research-development problems and challenges in certain areas, which are ongoing or planned this year or next.
- Publish joint scientific papers.
- Foster academic networks between local universities and other academic institutions abroad to enhance knowledge exchange and partnerships.
- Promote gender equality in academia by engaging and supporting female students, researchers, and faculty. Education
- PhD Degree (diploma) Experience
- Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in academia in at least one of the Core Functions/Responsibilities.
- Experience in preparing written reports accurately and concisely.
- Full computer literacy, including familiarity with research tools.
- Proven capacity to coordinate all administrative and technical aspects of the consultancy.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective relationships. Languages

- The Consultant will have to travel to North Macedonia for a month (Skopje and Tetovo). Required Competencies IOM’s competency framework can be found at this link. Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, verification of residency, visa, and authorizations by the concerned Government, where applicable. Vaccination against COVID-19 will be required for IOM personnel who are hired or otherwise engaged by IOM.
