This consultancy will commence immediately and conclude on December 31, 2024. The consultants will work Monday – Friday, 9:00 to 17:30, following the current schedule of Supply Chain Management Unit in Copenhagen
The Individual Consultants will be working at Supply Chain Management Unit in Copenhagen and will be reporting and receiving support from the Development Supplies Procurement Team Lead as a Focal point. The Individual Consultants works in close collaboration with Country Offices staff for their procurement requests for the CO programme implementation and solving complex supply-related issues and information exchange.

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
A minimum of one year of professional experience relevant to procurement and supply chain management.Desirable:
Experience in procurement within the public or private sector, encompassing logistics, shipping, freight, public or business administration, and commercial activities. Prior experience working with international development organizations or public sector institutions is highly valued. Experience with non-governmental and non-profit organizations will be considered equivalent. An Advanced University degree (or equivalent qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or Jurist Doctor) in Procurement, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Shipping and Freight, Commerce, Business Administration, or Public Administration, combined with 2 years of relevant work experience, may be accepted in place of 4 years of experience. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly those related to databases and data analysis, is essential. Working knowledge of ERP systems like PeopleSoft or Oracle, E-filing systems, and other relevant software applications is a strong advantage.Education:
Essential: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Law, or a related field. Desirable: Master's degree or equivalent in Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Law, or a related field.Languages:
Essential: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must. Desirable: Working knowledge of French or Spanish would be an asset.Expected travel: The consultants are not expected to travel for this assignment.
Delivery dates and how work will be delivered (e.g. electronic, hard copy, etc.): The consultants are expected to use SCMU systems and tools in order to carry out the assignment. The consultants are expected to use and update regularly the team’s tracking tool for monitoring daily cases. At the end of the 3 months period, the consultants will hand over a summary of the ongoing cases with clear status and action plan for future steps. The
work will be carried out electronically.
