Aim of the Mission 

The aim of the mission is to support the community protection capacity as part of the shifts envisioned by the 2025 Protection Strategy in the Field Office in Kharkiv and drive the localization approach. 

Mission OBJECTIVES

The following are the mission objectives: 

Prior experience in training, building capacity and mentoring of community members, NGO partners and staff on protection knowledge and relevant skills Background in human rights, international humanitarian law and humanitarian protection work more generally Experience working in areas affected by armed conflict

Essential requirements

Legal background & solid knowledge of human rights and international humanitarian law, and relevant protection policies and tools (IASC and UNHCR ones) Strong command in English - spoken and written

Personal Characteristics

Maturity and level-headedness Strong inter-personal and relation-building skills with different audiences  Ability to work and deliver in a fast-paced and pressured humanitarian environment Ability to work with people with different backgrounds and level of experience Teamplayer that shares humanitarian values  Dynamic personality Quick learner and ability to easily adapt to the Ukraine operational context
