    Position: Communications Volunteer

    Duty Station: Beijing, China

    Starting Date: June 2025

    Expected Duration: 6-8 months

    The Communications Volunteer, under the guidance and supervision of Communications Officer, will carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Support the implementation of the communication work plan to promote the visibility and reputation of WFP, align with overall communications and WFP strategies.
    • Contribute to communications through good research, analysis of assigned area of work and timely preparation and distribution of information products to target audience.
    • Translate and adapt WFP Global social media assets for use on WFP Chinese social media platforms.
    • Translate media materials (press release, statement, and story) and other given documents in a timely manner.
    • Edit multimedia content (text, video, and image).
    • Support the online and offline publicity events or campaigns, including but not limited to creating visibility assets, and providing onsite support.
    • Collect daily news on what’s happening in the Chinese landscape relevant to WFP's work.
    • Monitor traditional & social media channels, and support the production of social media reports.
    • Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor.
