Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager (Shelter/NFI and Housing), and the direct supervision of the CCCM Programme Officer the incumbent will work within selected sites and site-like settings as well as in hosting communities, informal sites and areas of return following up on hourly contracted staff who include CCCM mobile teams and CCCM monitors. The incumbent will work closely with the CCCM Senior Programme Associate. The incumbent will work at the field level supporting the implementation of CCCM field tasks, such as the implementation of feedback mechanisms, and minimal site maintenance projects. The incumbent is expected to perform below responsibilities and accountabilities.
- In collaboration with the Senior Programme Assistant, support following up adequate coverage of sites hosting IDP populations by CCCM operations.
- Undertake regular field travel to support CCCM programme implementation in designated locations.
- Support the implementation of new tools that aid CCCM field staff in the discharge of their duties.
- Support the organization of on-the-job training to CCCM hourly contracted or third party contracted field staff in the discharge of their duties.
- Support the organization of meetings with representative IDP committees Support in the implementation of communication with communities’ activities in designated locations.
- Support in facilitating CCCM training to various stakeholders regularly.
- Ensure Assist to follow-up that the CCCM multi-sector site tracker and other databases are updated every week by the CCCM field staff and IOM partners. Extract reports from the CCCM multi sector site tracker for analysis.
- Assist in maintaining an effective referral mechanism in all IDP sites covered by the CCCM field staff and partners.
- Attend coordination meetings in clusters, technical working groups and task forces at the field level upon request from the CCCM Officer. Discharge any other relevant duty as assigned by the CCCM Officer or Senior Programme Assistant.
EDUCATION
- University degree in Engineering, Social Science, behavioral science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with one year of relevant experience, or
- Completed High school degree in the above fields with three two years of relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in humanitarian activities, especially camp management support-related work advantageous.
- Demonstrable knowledge of, and experience in project implementation in either humanitarian or development fields.
- Previous experience in working with communities at the field level is an added advantage.
SKILLS
- Ability to establish priorities and undertake assigned tasks with minimum supervision
- Proven ability to interact effectively with government officials/local authorities and other institutions essential.
- Good drafting ability and communication skills, both oral and written to produce reports in English and Portuguese.
- Knowledge of the social protection system and victim assistance mechanism (advantageous);
- Able to work independently, under pressure and undertake frequent project related travels.
- Good computer literacy.
