Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager (Shelter/NFI and Housing) the successful candidate will be directly supervised by CCCM Programme Officer. The successful candidate will work within selected site and site-like settings as well as in hosting communities, informal sites and areas of return implementing projects aimed at enhancing the participation of women, girls and persons living with disabilities in site activities in Northern Mozambique. The successful candidate will be tasked with the implementation of Women Participation Project (WPP) related activities. The incumbent will perform below responsibilities and accountabilities. 

  1. Participate in site management routine duties implementing daily site management by undertaking the following tasks.
    1. Support in coordinating site management activities in IDP-hosting sites managed by IOM CCCM, following CCCM Cluster site management standards. 
    2. Facilitate site coordination meetings and other localized coordination meetings. 
    3. Support in providing reception services to newly arrived displaced populations.  
    4. Ensure rapid reporting of emerging needs and gaps in IDP sites.
    5. Follow up on repairs and maintenance of infrastructure in IDP sites.
    6. Support in the establishment of representative IDP committees at IOM CCCM sites, ensuring they reflect age, gender and diversity of the IDP population. 
    7. Ensure that the CCCM multi-sector site tracker and other databases are regularly updated. Extract reports from the CCCM multi-sector site tracker for analysis.
    8. Support the Programme Officer-CCCM in coordinating Women Participation Project (WPP) activities and integrating the participation of women, girls and persons living with disabilities in relevant IOM programmes.
    9. Support the effective implementation of WPP, including the development of tools and the production and dissemination of various WPP products. 
    10. Participate in implementation of various WPP activities such as commemorations of 16 days of activism against GBV, women leadership trainings, storytelling workshops, business skills trainings, radio listening groups, women centered disaster risk reduction, cash grants support, livelihoods support, vocational training among other activities.
    11. Serve as focal point for all data management for WPP activities to facilitate quality monitoring and reporting. 
    12. Support the training of field staff on WPP including its importance and relevance in IOM programmes and operations.
    13. Assist the Programme Officer in maintaining partnerships with external local and international organisations to strengthen WPP activities. 
    14. Actively participate in the development of various types of IEC materials, audio messages and track their dissemination. 
    15. When required, attend meetings with HQ team on WPP providing support to the Programme Officer. Support in timely meeting any set reporting requirements. 
    16. Assist in monitoring the work of enumerators, third party contractors, partners and service providers to improve and maximize quality as well as accuracy of WPP deliverables. 
    17. Participate in baseline surveys, post intervention monitoring and evaluation of the WPP programme.  
    18. Undertake regular duty travel to monitor the implementation of WPP activities. 
    19. Perform such other duties as may be assigned. 

      EDUCATION

      • University degree in Social Science, behavioral science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience, or
      • Completed High school degree in the above fields with five years of relevant professional experience.

        EXPERIENCE

        • Previous experience in humanitarian activities, especially camp management related work advantageous.
        • Demonstrable knowledge of, and experience in project implementation in either humanitarian or development fields.
        • Previous experience in working with communities at field level is an added advantage.

          SKILLS

          • Ability to establish priorities and undertake assigned tasks with minimum supervision
          • Proven ability to interact effectively with government officials/local authorities and other institutions essential. 
          • Good drafting ability and communication skills, both oral and written to produce reports in English and Portuguese.
          • Knowledge of the social protection system and victim assistance mechanism (advantageous).
          • Able to work independently, under pressure, undertake frequent project related travels and able to work during weekends and overtime.
          • Good computer literacy.
