Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager (Shelter/NFI and Housing) and under the direct supervision by CCCM Programme Officer, the successful candidate will work within selected site and site-like settings as well as in hosting communities, informal sites and areas of return implementing projects aimed at facilitating durable solutions for affected populations in Northern Mozambique. The successful candidate will be tasked with the implementation of site management tasks and Community Led Projects (CLPs) related activities. The incumbent will perform below responsibilities and accountabilities.
- Participate in site management routine duties implementing daily site management by undertaking the following tasks.
- Support the implementation of site management activities in IDP-hosting sites managed by IOM CCCM, following CCCM Cluster site management standards.
- Facilitate site coordination meetings and other localized coordination meetings.
- Support in providing reception services to newly arrived displaced populations.
- Ensure Contribute to rapid reporting of emerging needs and gaps in IDP sites.
- Follow up on repairs and maintenance of infrastructure in IDP sites.
- Support in the establishment of representative IDP committees at IOM CCCM sites, ensuring they reflect age, gender and diversity of the IDP population.
- Assist to keep the CCCM multi-sector site tracker and other databases regularly updated. Extract reports from the CCCM multi-sector site tracker for analysis.
- Support the organization of Durable Solutions activities and responses for out of camp displaced populations.
- Support the effective implementation of Durable Solutions programmes, including contributing to the development of tools and the production and dissemination of various Durable Solutions products.
- Participate in implementation of various Durable Solutions activities such as IDP returns, reintegration, handover of site management responsibilities, various trainings, disaster risk reduction, cash grants support, livelihoods support, vocational training among other activities.
- Serve as focal point for all data management for Durable Solutions activities to facilitate quality monitoring and reporting.
- Support the training of field staff and partners on CCCM and Durable Solutions.
- Participate in community-based planning for affected populations and follow up on implementation of community action plans.
- Participate in the implementation of community led projects for targeted displaced communities.
- Assist to follow-up the work of enumerators, third party contractors, partners and service providers to improve and maximize quality as well as accuracy of Durable Solutions deliverables.
- Participate in assessments, baseline surveys, post intervention monitoring and evaluation of the Durable Solutions activities.
- Undertake regular duty travel to monitor the implementation of Durable Solutions activities.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
EDUCATION
- University degree in Social Science, behavioral science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant experience, or
- Completed High school degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in humanitarian activities, especially supporting camp management-related work advantageous.
- Demonstrable knowledge of, and experience in project implementation in either humanitarian or development fields.
- Previous experience in working with communities at the field level is an added advantage.
