The Cash Management and Settlement group (TRY/CMS) within the Treasury Division of The Finance Department, is looking for a dedicated, energetic, and team-oriented treasury professional to join the team to support, coordinate, manage, monitor and execute the daily operational activities related to Treasury Operations, Back office and Cash Management.

About this position:

TRY/CMS coordinates, manages, monitors and executes the daily operational activities related Cash Management and Treasury Operations of the Bank ensuring the timely and accurate forecasting, clearance, confirmation, and settlement of the Bank’s financial transactions; At the same time, CMS manages the Bank’s liquidity to secure that its’ obligations are met and fulfilled. In addition, CMS collaborates with internal and external partners to shape solutions and process improvements for initiatives that contribute to optimization of the Bank’s financial resources and establish that operations and activities are consistent with market standards and norms.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the day-to-day back-office clearance, confirmation and settlement tasks related to Securities and Non-Security transactions for Investment and Funding activities. Perform facets of pre-execution and post-execution for derivatives, repo, money market, time deposits, sweep accounts, FX, futures, and options.
  • Review, verify and monitor the payment transactions and files to correspondent banks.
  • Derives solutions to problems in functional area by applying standard quantitative methods and techniques.
  • Coordinate, monitor and resolve Security, Derivative and Money Market Pre-Trade/Post-Trade discrepancies.
  • Oversee and perform post-settlement investigations and dispute resolution with Internal and External Clients.
  • Maintain and support the management of an institutional network of internal clients and external banking relations necessary for the efficient management of the Bank’s financial resources.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Fixed Income, Derivative and Cash terminology, concepts, and financial calculations with the ability to determine and analyzing variables affirming results.
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems standards and new financial products.

    What you'll need:

    • Education: Master’s Degree with a concentration in Finance, Business Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. A candidate that has successfully completed the CFA Level I and/or the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification is desirable.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience with multi-currency, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Securities and Derivatives treasury operations experience. Experience with international markets, foreign exchange market, capital markets software, and international clearing systems preferred. Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills with excellent command of Spanish and English, orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to listen to others, correctly interpret messages, and respond appropriately. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize to meet tight deadlines, helping multiple clients.
    • Languages: Fluency in English. Spanish and Portuguese are desirable.

        Requirements:

        • Citizenship: You must be a citizen of one of our 48-member countries, and a citizen or permanent resident of a country where the IDB has a Country Office
        • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

          Type of contract and duration:

          • Type of contract: National Consultant Full-Time. (Local Remote Modality), monthly.
          • Length of contract: 12 months.
          • Work Location: Services shall be provided remotely from place of residence of the consultant.
