Role and responsibilities

NRC CASH program in Palestine aims to provide lifesaving support to the affected population in Gaza and in the West bank. The cash operation deals with massive data base which come from different sources, and which needs to respect data protection policies. The purpose of the Information Management officer position is to support the cash unit with data collection, data treatment and analysis, quality control and reporting, as well as developing and maintaining a Power BI platform. 

Specific responsibilities 

Support and contribute to the development and maintenance of cash data management system, including through design, documentation, implementation and harmonization of standardizes information flow of cash monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities and reporting.Support cash monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes, including the spot checks and any other control measures.Supporting the reporting processes for internal or external needs.Support programme with needs assessments, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.Support the development of data collection, data entry and reporting methodology and tools, including by introducing digital processes/automation, including KOBO. Support the data collection and management, and development of clear information flow between program and NRC Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning staff.Prepare progress reports, including project reports, internal and external log frames, ITT and GORS and disseminate it to the relevant programme management.Carry out capacity building and training of programme staff on Cash database and NRC Monitoring and Evaluation technical and conceptual areas, as needed.Support the programme with the developing of new initiatives.Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by the Cash Program Development Manager.

Generic professional competencies for this position: 

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Information Management or Monitoring and Evaluation, or equivalent, preferably in an international NGO.High education in information technology and/or social science or other related fieldAnalytic and computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access). Knowledge of MEL principals, guidelines and tools.Knowledge in KOBO, ODK or similar mobile data collection tools is highly desired.Strong analytical skills with a critical thinking mindset are highly desired.Data literacy and data fluency, including ability to operate Power BIExperience in coding questionnaires on KOBO as well as cleaning and analyzing data using MS Excel or Power BI.Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contextsFluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal
