NRC is launching Cash and Markets programme in West Bank, Palestine. NRC is seeking a motivated person, with good excel skills, strong attention to detail, who can manage their time well as well as having a strong willingness to learn to join its team in Ramallah. 

Generic responsibilities 

These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.

 

  1. Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  2. Assist with the implementation of the programme portfolio according to plan of action
  3. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
  4. Ensure proper filing of documents
  5. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the C&M function
  6. Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of expertise

    Specific responsibilities 

    These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.

     

    • Follow up on compliance with contractual commitments across the Cash Core Competency (CC), ensure high technical quality and synergies in project assignments
    • Ensure the tasks and actions implementation is organized and deliver in line with CC teams priorities and standards
    • Use initiative in day-to-day problem solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities and standards for the area of work
    • Contribute to implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) Minimum Standards across your area of work
    • Support the programme related activities such as (not limited to): raising of Purchase Requisitions, data collection, data analysis and internal data reporting following the provided guidelines
    • Prepare specific visualisation materials such as infographics, maps, summary documents and tables, visualisation tools, etc, as necessary
    • Have phone calls with participants and/or services providers and/or agents and/or contractors in a regular and systematic manner to support the programme operations and specific activities. 
    • Update and keep records of all the data collected through various virtual means, as per NRC guidelines and procedures
    • Participate in internal and/or online external coordination meetings as deemed necessary to complete the indicated tasks
    • Any other tasks and/or activities assigned from the line manager, within the scope of the position

      Generic professional competencies: 

    • Experience from working as a Project Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
  7. Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilitiesSome knowledge of English 

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience: 

Fluent in Arabic, Written and Verbal Work experience related to data inputting and data verificationExperience of using MS Office applications, particularly, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Demonstrated attention to detail Demonstrated willingness to learn
