About this position:
We are seeking a highly skilled AV Services Operations Engineer to join the Event Production Management (EPM) Section within the Office of the Secretary. This section oversees the planning, execution, and implementation of IDB's Annual Meetings and manages daily audiovisual operations in board and main conference rooms.
The AV Services Operations Engineer will ensure the technical management and operational effectiveness of audiovisual services, including hands-on support and technical oversight for IDB's Annual Meetings and other events.
What you’ll do:
Manage daily AV operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery in line with ITIL best practices. Oversee the setup, testing, and configuration of all AV equipment for the Annual Meetings and other events, ensuring operational readiness and reliability. Provide on-site AV support during the Annual Meetings, including real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of equipment. Ensure all AV equipment is available, operational, and properly maintained, coordinating with external vendors as needed. Serve as the in-house technical expert on AV technologies, providing guidance and support for equipment deployment and maintenance. Collaborate with the AV Services Strategy Manager and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of new AV technologies. Ensure compliance with IDB’s security policies and standards for all AV operations. Assume the responsibilities of the AV Operations Strategy Specialist during his/her absence to ensure seamless continuity of AV services and operations.What you will need:
Education: Master’s degree in engineering, Audiovisual Technology, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: At least 7 years of professional experience in audiovisual operations or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with AV technology setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting is essential. Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus.Key skills
