Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Associate Risk Management Officer is assigned to the Operational Risk and Risk Governance Unit (RMOD-OGU) within the Office of Risk Management (ORM). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to the designated International and senior National Staff.
Your Role
As an Associate Risk Management Officer, you will provide support in (i) monitoring and assessing operational risks within ADB and will partner with business units on a variety of operational risk-related projects; (ii) implementing and maintaining an integrated operational risk management framework in coordination with relevant departments across organizational lines; and (iii) operating the framework within the various departments to consistently and comprehensively identify, measure, monitor, mitigate, and report operational risk.
You will partner, support, and liaise closely with the Operational Risk Management team, and other key departments/offices involved in the implementation of all key operational risk components/ programs.
You will:
a. Operational Risk Management Framework Implementation
b. Operational Risk Reporting
Independently collect and validate operational risk data for further analysis and usage. Extract and format relevant data of reports received from Business Units. Assists in the delivery of timely and quality risk management information and periodic reports, including executing the required report design.c. Operational Risk Systems Maintenance and Support
Support the development and maintenance of relevant IT systems, including assistance in IT project management, system maintenance and user support.d. Knowledge Sharing
Assist in facilitating risk training to promote a risk culture in ADB, including the dissemination of knowledge products and the development of eLearning modules.e. Others
Performs other duties as may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent's workplan.You will need:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, engineering, or related fields; preferably with advanced training At least 6 years of relevant experience in risk management or related fields. Basic understanding of risk management principles, governance, methodologies, and tools used in a financial services environment or in multilateral financial institutions, including operational risk assessments, key risk indicators, and reporting. Working knowledge in IT project management, system maintenance and user support, preferably on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including SharePoint. Working knowledge of other reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage. Ability to work diligently with data to ensure data quality remains at an appropriate level. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
