1. General Background

This role will operate within the Supporter Engagement Section (SES), which sits in the Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP).

2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

Individual Giving (IG) is targeted at the general public to secure the support of individuals through regular, unrestricted donations, cash appeals and legacies.
This role sits within the global Individual Giving team whose purpose is to support the fundraising markets recruit, retain and develop individual giving donors, with an emphasis on regular giving and increasing net lifetime value over time.

This role will support the two global Individual Giving officers on a number of key initiatives as well as act as the lead on a number of projects.
The role requires specialist and technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the global and regional teams, and with the markets.

Duties:

1. Mystery shopping
2. Between Lives – implementation across markets of Seasons 1-3 & support with S4 development, etc.
3. IG Community SharePoint management
4. IG Community management – competitor tracking, resources, webinars, etc. and sharing
5. Support on preparation for supporter journey framework workshops for markets
6. Skillshare organisation & support
7. Webinar, skillshare and capacity building organisation & support
8. Best practice guidance – collation from markets on information and developing modules and support for guidelines (e.g. middle donors, donor surveys & insights, reactivations & donor saves)
9. Support on global Middle Donor community
a. Assists in the development of the Middle Donor page on IG Community SharePoint site.
b. Provides support for webinars and skillshares related to the global Middle Donor community.
10. Support on global Telemarketing community
a. Assists in the development of the IG Community Telemarketing pages SharePoint site.
b. Provides support for webinars and skillshares related to the global Telemarketing community.
c. Coordinates the collection and centralization of market benchmark information, best practice and documentation.
11. Support on Gift in Wills as needed
12. Support on Data Activation project
13. Support PSP IG Officer on IFL webinars
14. Supports the coordination of the global Face-to-Face Community of Practice working group.
a. Assists in the development of the global Face-to-Face Community of Practice SharePoint site.
b. Provides support for webinars and skillshares related to the global Face-to-Face Community of Practice.
c. Coordinates the collection and centralization of market benchmark information, best practice and documentation.
15. Contributes to the development of the DRTV SharePoint site, including content creation, best practice sharing, and the DRTV attribution resource hub.
16. Prepares content for new creative campaigns for dissemination, including developing content packs and uploading/categorizing materials on our internal media sharing site.

3. Qualifications and Experience

A. Education:

The right candidate holds at least a bachelor’s degree in fundraising, marketing, advertising, International Development or similarly relevant subject.

B. Work Experience:

1. Minimum 1 year with undergraduate (Bachelor’s degree) and no experience with Master’s degree.
2. Expertise and up-to-date knowledge of donor acquisition channels (Face-to-Face, Digital, Direct Mail and DRTV desirable), donor retention and donor development methods.
3. Proven project management skills for integrated fundraising or communications campaigns.
4. Proven ability to meet project deadlines.
5. Excellent relationship management skills with key stakeholders at global, regional and market level, and with suppliers.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
7. Fluency in English, both verbal and written (required)
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Excellent organizational skills and multitasking.

Desirable:

1. Knowledge of the United Nations and working within the United Nations.
2. Professional working proficiency in other official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
3. Experience of emergency fundraising, monthly giving, middle level giving and legacy marketing.
4. Experience working in a multicultural and international environment.
5. Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI.

This is a remote-working position. The successful candidate will be home-based, and work with colleagues globally.

It is a full-time role starting from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

The remuneration level and the applicable entitlements and benefits may be different based on the residence of the most suitable selected candidate.
