About this position
The Creativity and Culture Unit (ICD/UCC), within the Innovation and Creativity Division (KIC/ICD) is looking for a creative, proactive, and highly motivated Arts and Transformation Consultant. As an Arts and Transformation Consultant, you will curate and design art exhibitions and provide art handling assistance and artwork services with the IDB Cultural Center and the IDB Art Collection.
You will work in Arts and Transformation Team, part of Creativity and Culture Unit. This team is responsible for using art, culture, and creativity as tools for communication, and to foster a culture of innovation within the IDB promoting and strengthen the Bank’s strategic role in highlighting Latin American and Caribbean culture through our exhibitions, IDB’s Art Collection, cultural events, and special cultural programs.
What you’ll do
· Conceptualize, design, and curate relevant contemporary art exhibitions and artistic interventions working with multiple vendors in creating all materials and elements needed.
· Provide assistance using international best practices for art handling, arts management, and exhibition requirements within the IDB Cultural Center and the IDB Art Collection.
What you'll need
· Education: Master’s degree in curating, cultural management, design, fine arts, communication, or related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a cultural or international organization. Knowledge in museums or art gallery operations. Knowledge of fine arts, art history, and of the processes and techniques of various art forms.
· Languages: Fluency in English and Spanish, knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
A portfolio of creative projects will be required as part of the assessment of candidates.

· Curate compelling exhibitions addressing the region’s development challenges.
· Collaborate and share knowledge on latest trends of Latin America and the Caribbean contemporary arts and culture.
· Communicate effectively the Arts & Transformation Program.
· Work alongside different partners both internally and externally to continuously activate the Arts & Transformation Program.
· Innovate and try new things to promote and strengthen the Bank’s strategic role in highlighting Latin American and Caribbean culture
Requirements
· Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
· Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

· Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
· Length of contract: 24 months.
