Supervisor: The incumbent of this post reports to the Field Social Services Officer and works closely with Area Relief and Social Services Officer. 2. Supervisees: The incumbent supervises and provides technical guidance to Social Workers in his/her designated area. ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent: 1 Supervises the Social Workers in his/her designated area to ensure client-centered social case work, psycho-social assessment and monitors the progress of care plans to individuals and families in need of social intervention using a strengths-based approach. 2 Mentors, contains, coaches, and provides feedback and support to the Social Workers encouraging their self-reflection and assesses their training needs; provides individual/group staff self-care support and debriefing sessions for the well-being of social workers. 3 Holds regular meetings with Social Workers, monitors, follows-up and identifies/ refers social work issues in need of social interventions to Field Social Services Officer. 4 Acts as a focal point for receiving high risk cases at area level and supervise the designated Social Worker in conducting initial risk assessment in close coordination with Field Social Services Officer in line with established guidance/protocols for high-risk cases. 5 Provides periodic and ad-hoc reports concerning achievements, successes, challenges and indicators as well as their progress. 6 Coordinates with relevant stakeholders the community-based initiatives and activities targeting women, children, youth, elderly and persons with disability and the community at large as identified as being complementary to social intervention objectives at the individual and family level. 7 Coordinates with other UNRWA programmes, at the Area level, to facilitate internal referral and increase refugees' access to UNRWA services. 8 Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
