CIFF\u2019s SRHR Product Choices team leads an ambitious portfolio of market shaping and innovative financing strategies to improve access to sexual & reproductive health (SRH) commodities across low- and middle-income countries. Main purpose of the role

CIFF\u2019s SRHR Product Choices and Health Systems teams leads an ambitious portfolio of market shaping and innovative financing strategies to improve access to sexual & reproductive health (SRH) commodities across low- and middle-income countries. We deploy a range of tools including volume guarantees, subsidies, licensing agreements, working capital loans, and performance-based financing to drive down prices, expand manufacturing capabilities, build supply chain resilience, and increase product choices.

Support deal development process by identifying opportunities, support structuring of partnerships with suppliers, analysing deal impact for modern contraception and safe abortion. Develop and maintain written materials, financial models and handle end to end data management and analysis for KPI dashboards, review costing, support development of theory of change and drive comprehensive monitoring & evaluation of active investments. Support director\u2019s engagement with external stakeholders across manufacturing companies for contract development, negotiations on key access terms and tracking deliverables. Lead the monitoring of milestones and key deliverables against investment/grant objectives. We are seeking an analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset, excellent relationship-building skills and knowledge of market shaping interventions in global health. Domain knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights would be a plus.

Principal responsibilities

Strategy & planning

Support building and maintaining robust repository market intelligence across family planning and medical abortion product categories (product landscapes, pipeline, total addressable market, current demand, unmet need, market gaps/bottlenecks, value proposition of novel products, etc.) Support building robust forecasts for CIFF\u2019s SRHR Choices team\u2019s active investments. Build financial models to assess various financial instruments for suitability to address market challenges and support Director in planning supply-side interventions. Leverage market intelligence and support manufacturers in developing go-to-market plans for low- and middle-income countries. Support development of health economic models to evaluate the impact and cost-effectiveness of product investment strategies, incorporating inputs from delivery and supply chain teams. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine analytical tools, and decision-making frameworks, enhancing CIFF's product access strategies. Support and/or lead the formulation of new investment proposals, encompassing market analysis, thesis development, and investment memo writing. Execute financial sensitivity and risk analyses, and coordinate with legal, finance, and program teams to manage due diligence and contracting for new investments. 

Programme development, delivery & performance

Lead the development of monitoring & evaluation framework for a $200M+ portfolio of investments against the CIFF mission and objectives Support review of proposal from partners, with a focus on activity costing and contribution to objective Support tracking progress, monitoring and evaluation of investments against agreed outputs and outcomes Develop and implement performance management processes and KPIs to identify and address deal risks and opportunities Research innovative financial solutions and support proposal development to maintain CIFF\u2019s leadership in innovation Maintain project management tools to support reporting for current and pipeline investments, and collaborate with Finance on forecasting and cash flow management Prepare and disseminate performance reports, including summary, board, and portfolio investment reports in a timely and accurate manner Work with the legal and finance team on due diligence checks and contract development for key investments 

Sector knowledge, partner management, and profile-building

Build knowledge and expertise in product access partnerships and market management initiatives. Develop peer-level relationships within governments, manufacturers, social enterprises, NGOs, and other foundations. Build and maintain a range of relevant knowledge and information resources, to enable the Product Choices and other SRHR teams to access high quality intelligence, analysis and data to inform investment activity. Compile research on partners/stakeholders to support the effective development of relationships and opportunities by the team. Undertake other specific research projects required, as directed by members of the team

Membership of the team

This role does not hold line management responsibility, but we expect all employees to demonstrate good leadership behaviours; this includes adopting a coaching approach with colleagues to help build skills, confidence and capability in particular areas, processes or procedures. As required, support on the planning and coordination of inductions for new joiners to the team. We operate a matrix structure so reporting lines can vary between specific aspects of the role.

Benefits

The starting salary for this role is GBP 36,800.

CIFF operates a hybrid work policy across all locations, which means employees works some of the time from home. We are happy to provide more information on this as part of the recruitment process.

Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a generous benefits package here at CIFF that includes, but is not limited to the following. All these will be prorated to the fixed term.
