About this position

The Amazon Coordination Unit (ACU) is looking for a highly motivated professional to work as a general administration consultant. The main scope of the consultant work will be to provide support in the areas of process of contracts and payments, general administration, budget, finance, and general coordination related to ACU operations, such as loans and technical cooperation’s, among others.

You will work in the Amazon Coordination Unit, in the context of the Regional Program \"Amazonia Forever\". This team facilitates the implementation of the Amazonia Forever Program through proactive and strategic coordination and the building of strong alliances and relationships, in close collaboration with the IDB Group's operational areas, with special attention to cross-cutting issues of fundamental importance for achieving results through the Amazon Coordination Unit.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the hiring of Complementary Workforce (CW) by processing contracts in Service Now and following-up on each contract request from beginning to end.
  • Prepare and maintain payment schedules for individual consultants and consulting firm contracts and follow closely to ensure contracts are fully executed before their expiration dates.
  • Create and allocate payment requests of non-PO invoices in Convergence and SAP systems. Follow-up on each payment request until disbursement making necessary corrections when needed.
  • Provides support in the budget planning, monitoring, and execution activities including expense recording, accruals, reclassifications and contracting or procurement activities, ensuring accuracy and quality control of data and preparing related reports, as necessary.
  • Process technical cooperations related transactions in Convergence as needed.
  • Collaborate in the coordination, preparation, and development of special projects and initiatives needed for the Unit.
  • Follow-up on matters pending action and independently handles and expedites routine information requests.
  • Organize and maintain an updated database, documents, computer office files and reference materials using Bank systems and tools.
  • The aforementioned activities are part of the position's main responsibilities; however, they do not exclude additional activities that may be necessary for completing tasks.

    What you'll need:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or relevant field.
    • Experience: You have between 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
    • Languages: Knowledge of English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

        • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
        • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
