Job Overview: The IRCs after school program provides comprehensive support to ensure that newly arrived refugee youth succeed academically and socially. The After School Coordinator will lead the delivery of afterschool programming at a high school in Richmond Public Schools, providing immigrant youth with tools to successfully thrive in their new school and community. They report to the Youth Futures Coordinator and work with colleagues on the Youth Team to coordinate once a week service delivery.

Program Design and Delivery
Lead weekly classroom activities for the IRC after school program. Implement and adapt curriculum to meet student needs in accordance with IRC’s Framework for Social Emotional Asset Development Toolkit as well as other research based SEL resources in response to student needs in the program. Utilize interpretation services, conduct family outreach, and provide systems navigation and support to improve family’s connection to school and student(s) engagement in school. Build and maintain good relationships with school personnel and work with school staff toAdministrative and General Support
Conduct accurate program tracking and case notes to ensure program compliance with its goalsJob Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in education or social work or related field, masters preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years related professional experience such as: teaching, tutoring, youth development or youth case management preferred. In-depth knowledge of local education systems Responsive Classrooms and/or Restorative Justice trained, highly desirable. Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations, highly desirable.Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

A combination of on campus delivery and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. Requires evening work.Compensation: (Pay Range: $24 - $25**)** Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
