Tätigkeitsbereich

The Programme for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (PEEB) aims to transform the building sector by promoting sustainable and resilient building design and construction. PEEB combines financing
for energy efficiency in large-scale projects with technical assistance through policy advice. PEEB will upscale its activities with funding for “PEEB Cool” to 11 countries on 4 continents; they are
located in Latin America, South (-East) Asia, Africa including French-speaking Maghreb and South-East Europe. As a global programme, initiated by the governments of France and Germany
at the UN Climate Change Conference COP22, PEEB is implemented by the French development bank Agence Française de Development, GIZ and Agence de la Transition Écologique. PEEB
works closely with the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC), connecting a global network of practitioners working on green buildings. PEEB is implemented by an agile
team working across countries and organizations, in cooperation with leading organizations such as World Green Building Council, World Business Council for Sustainable Development and
Industry Foundation Classes in its network, to achieve impact on the rising topic of buildings and climate.

Ihre Aufgaben

Development of key services to be implemented in country components, jointly with country colleagues Country-backstopping as focal point in headquarter team Knowledge focal point within the project and externally for key topics for the buildings transition, e.g. financing, adaptation, building materials, for international agenda-setting and project implementation Donor relations: contributing to project management through reporting, preparation of governance meetings International outreach and agenda-setting, including at the climate change conferences and in the context of GlobalABC

Ihr Profil

University degree in the field of architecture, energy (efficiency), urban planning, climate, environment or political science, with relevance for sustainability in buildings Substantial work experience with financing institutions or policy advice, preferably in partner countries; experience with set-up and steering of large-scale contracts Substantial work experience in partner countries Knowledge of international energy and climate challenges in the buildings sector Strong organizational, planning and self-management competences, ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work Team player, proactive and curious self-starter; able to work in a multi-cultural team Excellent communication and presentation skills Business fluent in English; fluent in German and either French or Spanish

Hinweise

This job is suited to a full or a part-time position.

The willingness for frequent business trips is required.
