About this position:

We are looking for a strategic, collaborative, proactive, hardworking and highly motivated individual to join the Corporate and Operational Training team (ECO) of IDB Academy (KLD/SDI) as a consultant. As a consultant, you will coordinate all matters related to human resource management, financial management, and administration, ensuring the efficient use of assigned resources geared to fulfill the Corporate and Operational Training team’s objectives.

You will work in the Corporate and Operational Training team (ECO), part of the KLD/SDI division. This team is made up of four IDB Academy programs: the Operations Learning Program (OLP), the Project Management for Results Program (PM4R), the Corporate Learning Program (CLP), and the Onboarding Program for new personnel of the IDB Group. The latter in close coordination with the Bank's Human resources Department. These programs promote good practices for project preparation and management, as well as specific aspects of the IDB Group's corporate management.

What you’ll do:

Human Resources Management:

  • Coordinate the team’s workforce planning for CNS and PEC consultants ensuring all contracting of complementary workforce is aligned with IDB’s human resources policies and practices.
  • Serve as the focal point in matters of Human Resources demonstrating a good understanding of strategies and policies, and the ability to advise supervisors and peers on relevant issues and practices.
  • Bring in solid partners to strengthen the team’s strategic planning and objectives.
  • Convey proactively HR-related information to staff and consultants to foster efficiency and knowledge-sharing.

    Budgeting and Financial Management:

    • Plan, execute, and monitor financial resources, including identification of needs for goods and services and execution of payments.
    • Advice on the best use of resources during budget formulation and execution phases of the budget cycle and provide executive budgetary reports to ensure their timely execution.
    • Perform data analysis and provide recommendations for decision-making to Management on financial resources to accurately manage budgets and contracts.
    • Ensure the Corporate and Operational Training team (ECO)’s budget is within budgetary limits and in compliance with financial policies and guidelines.
    • Coordinate budgets’ applicable policies and practices with counterparts. This includes the processing of Firms contracts as well as performing disbursements, reclassifications, and accruals for each program through all applicable IDB Systems (ServiceNow, SAP, Hyperion, Convergence).
    • Ensure all budget-related information is managed and stored consistently and accessibly.

      Administrative matters:

      • Serve as the focal point in matters of the Bank’s administrative activities demonstrating a good understanding of guidance and policies, and the ability to advise supervisors and peers on relevant issues and practices.
      • Initiate internal administrative requests through ServiceNow and provide feedback for continuous improvement of the ticketing system.
      • Identify issues that need to be addressed to improve efficiency and quality of administrative services within the Corporate and Operational Training team (ECO).
      • Lead the necessary activities for the execution of Corporate and Operational Training team (ECO)’s sponsored trainings, meetings, and other events.

        Contribute to ensuring a service-oriented culture and a customer-friendly organization by fostering communication, trying new and creative solutions to solve problems, and streamline processes that will allow to achieve high levels of performance and quality in delivering results.

        What you'll need:

        • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Training and certification in Agile Methodologies and/or Project Management are highly desired.
        • Experience: At least 3 years of progressive experience in the management of budget, accounting, human resources, or general administration, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the Training and/or Learning & Development industry. Knowledge of relevant IDB Group policies, procedures, systems (SAP, Convergence, Hyperion, ServiceNow) and databases, and management processes would be an advantage.
        • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
