DescriptionOverview The RTI International seeks a prospect for the University Collaborations Internship within the RTI University Collaboration Office. This internship is a contract position. The employment contract is administered by Greene Resources Powered by Array, RTI’s supplemental staffing partner. The University Collaboration Office (UCO), leverages university connections for growth in RTI’s impact, innovation, scientific stature, and financial strength. The team’s core work is focused on collaboration with the UNC System and Duke University, and on regional collaboration; we also provide central enabling support for RTI’s hundreds of linkages with universities around the world. The UCO seeks an intern who can provide support for partnerships, convenings and events, and administrative responsibilities that enhance office operations Learning Objectives: Understand principles and practices of external collaboration Develop project coordination skills related to convenings and events Strengthen internal and external communication skills Responsibilities Provide support for convenings, events, and academic engagement programs, including the institutional visits to and from partner universities, the UNC Gillings PHield Trip, and programs that support regional collaboration, including the RTI University Scholars Program Develop content for internal and external partnership and program materials, such as university relationship snapshots, slide decks, briefings, event blurbs, and announcements Support various meetings and event logistics, including room set-up, conference call/Zoom arrangements, and development of meeting materials Proactively collaborate with members of the team to prepare, organize, coordinate, and document office activity Perform special projects, assignments, and tasks as needed RTI's Internship Program emphasizes experiential and mentored learning experiences, providing students and recent degree recipients an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge and skills in a meaningful and practical way.
