DescriptionOverview The USAID-assisted Energy Secure Philippines (ESP) Activity aims to assist the Philippine Government in pursuing development in the power sector. It has the three-fold objective of improving the performance of electric utilities, increasing the deployment of advanced energy sources and systems, and improving the energy procurement process. Responsibilities Lead Consultant (1): Leads presentation and turnover of results to DOE and TransCo Leads internal progress updates and deliberations Review of results Substation-level forecast Peak demand forecast Dispatch schedules for each scenario Sizing and sitting of generators Load allocation for new substations Transmission expansion projects Prepare technical and terminal reports Consultant 2 Leads in identifying locations of new substations with forecast load growth and load allocations Leads in preparing the substation-level peak demand forecast Leads in preparing the annual peak demand forecast from 2023 to 2050 Participates in the review of results Dispatch schedules for each scenario Sizing and siting of generators Transmission expansion projects Prepare technical and terminal reports Consultant 3 Leads in modeling transmission projects in the TDP 2024 for Luzon and Visayas Leads in running DC powerflow to identify network overloading during N-0 and N-1 conditions for Luzon and Visayas and to identify additional projects not present in the TDP 2024 Present updates related to assigned tasks during internal meetings and update meetings to DOE, TransCo, ESP, and other parties as needed Write terminal and technical report sections related to assigned tasks Review technical and reportorial outputs of other teams Consultant 4 Leads the generator placement process for Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao for scenarios REF, CES 1, and CES 2 for the 2023-2030, 2035, 2040, 2045, and 2050 networks.
