POSITION SUMMARY The Sr. Technical Lead, Network Operations has a key role in driving the development, maintenance, and optimization of Winrock’s IT infrastructure. Reporting to the Director, Service Desk and Network Operations, you will lead initiatives to enhance the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems while collaborating with global teams to align ICT solutions with organizational goals. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Collaboration: Act as a technical expert and mentor for IT team members, providing guidance on best practices and fostering professional growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT strategies supporting business objectives. Lead projects to upgrade, optimize, and maintain IT systems, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Provide backup coverage for the Director, Service Desk and Network Operations. Infrastructure Management: Design and manage network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, and network security solutions for Winrock infrastructure (including our projects). Oversee the administration and optimization of hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based systems (Azure, AWS). Ensure robust identity and access management using tools like Azure AD and M365. Participate in the management of ICT security policies and procedures to ensure preventive and recovery strategies are in place. System and Application Support: Collaborate with the Information System and Service Desk teams to ensure the infrastructure performs to the expected levels for the organizational enterprise applications, including ERP and HRIS. Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis. Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor IT security measures to protect systems against unauthorized access and cyber threats. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements for IT systems and data protection. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and enterprise applications. Proven leadership experience in managing teams or projects. Strong knowledge of: Hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Network administration (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN). Identity and access management tools (Azure AD, SSO technologies). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Familiarity with IT Security standards like CIS (Center for Internet Security), ISO, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, FINRA, etc. Exposure to a variety of technologies such as web application proxies, databases, LDAP and directory services, application servers, network infrastructure, and understanding of security and dataflow within these components. Experience implementing and/or managing Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) and/or Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM). Working knowledge of Exchange systems and attributes in AD, with related support experience. Advanced experience at creating and modifying PowerShell scripts. Experience in managing Cisco Meraki Networking and Remote Access Management. Required Travel: Occasional international and domestic travel. Physical Demands: May need to conduct onsite trainings and presentations. May need to move IT equipment/hardware from one place to another. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The salary range for this role is set between $110,000 and $125,000, with the majority of candidates typically landing within the midpoint of this range, there is an additional 10% contribution for a 403b annually and an excellent benefits package.
