Functional Setting:

The Technical Assistance (TA) Facility for Partner Countries on Migration and Forced Displacement (funded by EC/DG INTPA) will contribute to safe, orderly and regular migration, as well as to the protection of, and the provision of durable solutions for forcibly displaced persons and host communities. The Facility will be implemented over a period of 48 months.

It will provide short-term demand driven technical assistance to partner countries (central and local authorities) globally, regional organisations and civil society organisations to design and implement migration and forced displacement management systems in line with international standards.

This position is subject to funding availability (the contract between EC and ICMPD is expected to be signed before the end of 2024).

Position-specific expertise:

Proven experience in implementing and coordinating complex TA facilities at global level. Strong knowledge and understanding of global migration governance. Strong coordination skills.

Position-Specific Qualifications and Language Skills:

MASTER degree in International Law, Social Sciences, Public Policies or Political Sciences is a requirement. In addition to the languages listed in the job profile (i.e. fluent English), other UN languages are an asset. ​
