The TeamThe HIV/TB Delivery Team works to accelerate the introduction, adoption, and scale-up of effective prevention and treatment interventions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Our mission is to strengthen health systems, expand equitable access, and ensure that people living with or affected by HIV and TB can benefit from high-quality, stigma-free services.

Within this mandate, digital health and artificial intelligence (AI) are increasingly critical enablers. The Foundation is committed to using AI responsibly to reduce the digital divide and ensure that its benefits reach underserved populations. Advances in machine learning and generative AI offer new opportunities for self-care, consumer engagement, decision support, epidemiologic surveillance, and health system intelligence. The HIV/TB Delivery Team is uniquely positioned to test, adapt, and scale AI innovations that directly improve program delivery, empower individuals, and build resilient health systems.

This role will therefore sit at the intersection of HIV/TB program priorities and the Foundation’s emerging AI strategy, ensuring that new digital and AI-driven solutions are not only technically sound but also programmatically relevant, ethically deployed, and scalable across LMICs.

Your Role

The Senior Program Officer, Digital Health and AI will lead efforts to embed AI into HIV prevention and treatment programs, with a special focus on self-care innovations as well as to improve the performance of TB programs. You will be responsible for shaping investment strategies, building partnerships, and designing pathways to ensure AI-driven solutions can transition from proof-of-concept to sustained scale.

You will serve as both a technical advisor and portfolio manager, collaborating with Foundation teams, country partners, and global stakeholders to develop and deploy AI solutions that strengthen HIV self-care, improve service delivery, and expand access for those most in need.

This SPO role offers a unique opportunity to redefine the future of HIV self-care by embedding AI and digital health solutions into prevention and treatment programs. The successful candidate will directly influence how AI strengthens HIV/TB delivery, expands equitable access, and builds resilient health systems in LMICs. By integrating programmatic expertise with cutting-edge technology, this role will help ensure that the promise of AI is harnessed to improve the lives of millions affected by HIV and TB worldwide.
