Background on the U.S. Food Waste Pact - With 38% of food being wasted, Americans facing food insecurity, and climate change posing an ever-greater threat, there is no time (or food) to waste. The U.S. FWP is calling on leading food businesses across the supply chain to join its efforts to: 1) develop the nation’s leading food waste measurement and benchmarking, and 2) pilot innovative and scalable solutions that pave the way forward for more businesses across the country to cost-effectively reduce food waste.
