Senior Officer - Finance and Accounts
ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic and motivated professionals for the position of Senior Officer - Finance and Accounts. The position reports to Manager - Finance and Accounts. This role is based at the ICRISAT Headquarters, Patancheru, Telangana, India.
The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is a non-profit, non-political organization that conducts agricultural research for development in the drylands of Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Covering 6.5 million square kilometers of land in 55 countries, the semi-arid or dryland tropics is home to over 2 billion people, and 644 million of these are the poorest of the poor.

Key Responsibilities:
Experience in handling GST related transactions
Preparation and submission of all GST-related reports and forms
Assist in Project Management and Project Accounting in line with grant agreements
Preparation of MIS reports, specific to Projects
Assist in Management of receivables and payables
A thorough review of Financial terms and conditions and budgets of grants agreements
A thorough review of sub-grants agreements
Liaison with Donor, Internal and Statutory Auditors
Liaise with Tax Authorities such as Income Tax Department & GST Department related TDS, GST and other tax issues
Interdepartmental liaison with Legal Services for all GST related issues, Research Programs for project management, and other Support Departments for budget clearances and proper charging of expenses
To maintain good rapport with location staff and have updated information on the status of the projects
Adhere to GST reporting guidelines and timelines
Adhere to donor reporting conditions as per governing agreement
Provide accurate and timely information to the Finance Management Team for decision-making purposes
Qualification and Skills:
CA (Inter)/MBA with 3-4 years of experience
Proficiency in Financial Management
Experience in Oracle and / or ERP would be highly preferred
Highly proficient in MS-Office suite, with special reference to financial packages and Excel
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to deal tactfully under pressure situations, deliver under tight schedules, and maintain high degree of confidentiality
General:
The position is on a contract for a period of 36 months.
