In this role you will inspire confidence across our organisation supporting our Green Climate Fund initiatives and our Global Programs. You will proactively seek opportunities to implement innovative financial solutions and partner with our Director of Climate change and Program Managers to steer the financial performance across these programs. We need you to ensure the effective use of resources to fulfil our commitments to our stakeholders; you will see that we are accountable to donors and maintain the respect and trust of funding agencies, partners and beneficiaries. This role will involve a range of activities from standard management reporting to high-end strategic support including advising and challenging leadership teams.

Where you come in:
In this full-time position based in either Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney (other locations considered) you will be a key member of the commercial finance team reporting to the Head of Finance – Global, Pacific and 54 Reasons. This is a dual role combining strong financial analysis with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
You will make an impact by:
· Providing excellent senior management accounting support, covering cost centre support, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
· Program lifecycle financial support including proposal budget reviews, implementation, and acquittal finalisation, coupled with affordability and trend analysis
· Collaborating with leadership teams to develop a more commercial approach to achieving Save the Children Australia’s mission, including advice on commercial contracts and intermediary partnership models
· Drive business and financial outcomes to meet strategic goals
· Ensure ongoing financial sustainability of the Green Climate Fund and Global portfolios including driving high levels of financial recovery and utilisation
Does this sound like you?
You are a highly experienced Senior Management Accountant with proven technical capabilities and an ability to engage and influence stakeholders from junior program managers to CFO’s. You are exceptionally organised and can prioritise across demands and work to tight deadlines.
This role requires:
· Demonstrated, proven experience in a senior management accounting role with proven partnering examples
· Exceptional customer service skills with highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
· Proven record implementing and embedding financial systems and processes in a complex finance structure
· A proven strategic thinker and innovator
· A curious mindset, constantly looking to develop themselves and others
· Highly technically competent across Microsoft systems.
