Job Summary

Corporate Services and Facilities Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has an opening for a Senior Facilities Officer who will proactively provide oversight of the Facilities Division’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs, initiatives, and operational requirements related to safety, hazardous materials, indoor air quality, and environmental compliance. The selected candidate is expected to coordinate with staff, contractual, and vendor employees to deter impacts to business continuity and staff safety and health. The selected candidate will also serve as the subject matter expert to resolve EHS issues and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of vendor delivered and managed EHS services and programs.
    • Manage and coordinate EHS third-party vendor contract services.
      • Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies, procedures and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations applicable to commercial office buildings include OSHA construction standards.
        • Collaborate with facility managers, project managers, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to assess safety needs, develop site-specific safety plans, and implement effective safety measures.
          • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facilities and construction projects, equipment, and processes to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with safety and environment standards.
            • Provide oversight and coordinate the implementation of environmental quality controls, testing and investigations for indoor air quality, and water hygiene programs.
