Job Summary
The Corporate Services and Facilities (CSF) department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking to fill the position of Section Chief of the Resilience Section in the Information, Resilience, and Services Division (CSFIR). The Resilience Section is a key element in the IMF’s enterprise risk management functions and is tasked with helping the institution prepare for and recover from risks to business continuity. The position requires extensive experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and Operational Risk Management with a proven track record of leadership and management of organizational programs.
Under the general supervision of the Deputy Division Chief of CSFIR, the Section Chief will have responsibility for managing and supervising all work activities of the Section in operational resilience and business continuity to anticipate, prepare, respond, and recover from business disruptions. The role will also include developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the IMF’s existing programs in partnership with institutional stakeholders to identify business process risks, establish mitigation measures and develop response plans to ensure critical operations can continue to meet the IMF’s mandate when operations are impacted by a disruptive event.
The Resilience Section conducts business continuity assessments of business processes across the institution aligned with the IMF’s operational resilience priorities. The Section also ensures that comprehensive business continuity plans are in place for all activities identified as priority and provides advisory services to business owners to ensure they are well prepared to manage and recover key operations. The role of the Section also includes providing business continuity education, training, and awareness within the organization, spanning crisis management and simulation exercises.

Qualifications:
Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a relevant advanced university degree, supplemented by a minimum of eight years of work experience in operational risk management, business continuity planning and management, operational resilience, crisis management, or equivalent; or a bachelor’s degree supplemented by a minimum of fourteen years of relevant professional experience is required.
