The Tax Policy 2 Division (T2) of the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) at the International Monetary Fund is seeking to fill a position for a Research Officer/Sr. Research Officer to support its capacity development and analytical work on natural resource taxation. The selected candidate will take a lead role in maintaining the Fiscal Analysis for Resource Industries (FARI) framework supervised by divisional management. FARI is a core model and methodology developed by FAD for tax policy analysis and capacity development on natural resource fiscal regime analysis, modeling, and revenue forecasting.

T2 undertakes policy development and research, provides operational support to IMF country teams, and capacity development to IMF member countries on tax policy issues. The natural resource work involves advising governments on the design and implementation of fiscal regimes including taxes, royalties, production sharing, and other fiscal arrangements.
