In this newly created role, we’re seeking a passionate, dedicated Project Support Officer to support our 1800RESPECT service across Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Where you come in:

In this full-time, permanent position, you’ll provide a combination of operational, administrative and business development support to our 1800RESPECT service. This is a 24-hour national sexual assault, family and domestic violence counselling line for any Australian who has experienced, or is at risk of, family and domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this position works closely with the Team Leaders, Specialist Counsellors, head office and centralised functional teams. Ideally, you’ll be based in Melbourne or Adelaide, though this may be negotiable.

You will make an impact by:

Supporting HR processes and workforce management, including recruitment and rostering, for our 1800RESPECT teams in SA, the NT and Victoria Supporting the implementation of key projects and initiatives within our DFV services, including chairing internal governance meetings, engaging external stakeholders and data analysis Writing high-quality reports and other external communication to promote the 1800RESPECT and other DFV services Providing ad hoc operational and administration support to the 1800RESPECT team

You’re a confident and adaptable all-rounder with a background in service operations, and you’re seeking to broaden your skillset across a varied and challenging role, with the opportunity to develop experience implementing new projects across multiple locations. You’re a skilled communicator who can work across organisational boundaries, and you flourish in a fast-paced role that requires autonomy, problem-solving and prioritisation.

This role requires:

Strong computer literacy and data entry skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases and graphics) are essential Exceptional customer service skills Highly developed verbal and written communication skills Strong time management and organisational skills Rapport building and relationship building abilities A solid understanding of the sector gained through project operations and/or service delivery Qualification in a relevant field, such as Business Administration would be preferred, or equivalent experience
