The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center is seeking a multi skilled Project Coordinator to join its office in Lahore, Pakistan.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating research activities of Water Resource Accountability in Pakistan (WRAP) project. The incumbent will ensure an enabling environment among the WRAP project team, implementation partners, and key stakeholders for the timely delivery of the WRAP project outputs under the KP component. The WRAP project encompasses two major geographical areas, and this position will focus on coordinating activities in the KP and Punjab provinces.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Contribute to preparing accurate and timely reporting on the research program and activities that enable informed decision-making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders. Liaise with internal and external counterparts to ensure effective collaboration, monitor the ongoing progress of the project, and highlight potential risks to program delivery. Support the identification, development, and management of potential partnerships for collaborative working leading to improved donor programs. Work with the admin officer and Portfolio Manager to process the partnership contract and necessary contract amendments. Assist the Team Leader in implementing donor due diligence recommendations and coordinating activities among researchers and external stakeholders, where necessary. Facilitate regular virtual and physical meetings with all implementing partners for coordination and planning. Responsible for all financial, operational, logistical, procurement, and accounting processes of the project. Assist in coordinating partnerships with government and international development partner agencies involved with climate change adaptation and water resources at the provincial and federal levels. Track project portfolio, outputs, progress reporting updates, project progress, including project deliverables, in the Project Management System, and provide administrative support to the Team Leader to ensure that agreed timelines are adhered to. Assist the Team Leader in the different areas of the project management life cycle to be undertaken across KP and Punjab provinces. Coordinate stakeholder engagement arrangements for the Team Leader as and when necessary. Ensure that inquiries and correspondence to the Team Leader are responded to appropriately and timely. Contribute to maintaining project databases detailing contacts, interns, consultants and events. Support the Project Leaders to prepare, implement, monitor, and document annual project work plans, progress reports, budgets and expenditures, work hours, outputs, and results. Facilitate stakeholder meetings by organizing and attending sessions, actively participating, documenting key actions and decisions, and follow-up when necessary. Prepare necessary presentation materials for project meetings. Ensure the project adheres to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately as per donor requirements. Assess project risks and issues, update the Risk Management Plan, and provide solutions where applicable. Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution. Develop and maintain a project management calendar to track progress towards achieving goals and objectives. Develop and coordinate data gathering and monitoring systems to maintain rigorous quality standards. Support the external audit process and ensure retention of project records in compliant with IWMI and donor policies, in coordination with IWMI's Finance Unit. Ensure compliance with IWMI\u2019s anti-corruption and due diligence processes in collaboration with IWMI\u2019s Program Management Office and Corporate Services Division. Closely work with the Project Management Office in terms of other project management aspects.

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Essential,

A university degree in business management, business administration, project management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years of demonstrated experience in project coordination and management processes with international organizations or other development partners. Demonstrated familiarity with social media platforms and the ability to utilize them for promoting inter-office communications and facilitating information sharing. Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Desirable,

Previous experience in water management or climate change related projects with international organizations. A postgraduate degree in a related discipline is preferred.

Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently. Demonstrated strong communication skills, particularly in preparing correspondence and briefings. The ability to establish priorities effectively and to plan, organize, implement, and monitor work activities with limited supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, demonstrating sensitivity and respect for diversity. Proficiency in project management software applications. A high level of proficiency in using MS Office and other relevant computer software. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Excellent oral and written language skills in English, including effective listening and strong verbal and written communication abilities.

This is a nationally recruited position and only Pakistani nationals will be considered.
